The set is constructed from poplar wood solids and birch veneers with a Natural White painted finish, and is accented by nickel knob hardware, turned posts with finial caps and paneling details. Three drawers supply a place for pictures, postcards, collectibles and writing utensils. The center drawer has a drop front to accommodate computer and/or keyboard use, and the center of the workspace lifts to reveal a ledge for propping essay prompts, an open textbook or even a mirror. The desk is outfitted with cord access and a power outlet for use of electronic appliances.
